Trophy for the most dynamic producer – exporter in Romania

Friday, December 14th, 2012, the pharmaceutical company Antibiotice was designated “the most dynamic manufacturer – exporter in the field of
medicines”, in Romania.

The trophy was awarded during the Gala of the National Association of Exporters and Importers in Romania, hosted by the National Bank of
Romania and it evaluated the performance of 1000 companies exporting products abroad.
Among the personalities attending the event we mention leading figures in finance – Florin Georgescu, Minister of Public Finance, Mugur
Isărescu, BNR Governor, Nicolae Vacaroiu, President of the Court of Accounts, as well as representatives of major companies in Romanian
export.

Prizewinning for the fourth consecutive year at the same category, Antibiotice focused its development policy in recent years on the
international expansion of business, seen as a strategic direction in counteracting the effects of the economic and financial crisis.

“Trade on various foreign markets with different economico-financial situations allows us to develop flexible policies, thereby diminishing
dependence on the unpredictable evolution of the internal market. On the other hand, without being encumbered by additional charges such as the
clawback tax, proceeds from export increase company liquidity and a higher profitability,” said Mihai Stoian, Business Development Director
at Antibiotice.

For 2012, Antibiotice has estimated obtaining a turnover of 20 million USD, 2.8 times higher than the one reported in 2008, which was 7.12
million dollars.
