Antibiotice SA, the main producer of generic anti-infective drugs in Romania, the world leader in the active substance Nystatin, is currently implementing a project with European Funds POIM 6.2 – Intelligent energy consumption monitoring system within Antibiotice SA.

The project is part of the permanent concern of Antibiotice specialists to increase energy efficiency, in accordance with the specific legislation on energy efficiency in Romania.

A financing contract was concluded for this project with the Ministry of Regional Development, Public Administration and European Funds.

Energy consumption monitoring

From January 2019, the “Intelligent Energy Consumption Monitoring System within Antibiotice SA” will become operational, a 230,000 euro project, of which 200,000 euro are non-reimbursable European funds.

Consumption data, which are recorded at the level of the departments and other users of the 162 meters (for electricity, natural gas and compressed air), will be transmitted to a central server in real time, through a fiber optic network.

A dedicated software will allow the automatic transmission, to all users, of reports containing the recorded energy consumption.

After analyzing this data, the energy performances of the equipment will be established, in order to identify measures to reduce energy consumption, their associated costs and improve the energy behavior of users.
