Antibiotice Iași Employees Save 240 Lives Together with the Local Community through the Campaign “Donate Blood! Save a Life!”
On April 1-2, 2025, the 27th edition of the “Donate Blood! Save a Life!” campaign took place at the headquarters of Antibiotice Iași. This year, for the first time, the campaign expanded to include residents from neighboring communities, encouraging them to participate alongside the company’s employees.
More than 80 people donated blood, helping to save approximately 240 lives. The event was organized by the “Antibiotice – Science and Soul” Foundation in partnership with the Iași Regional Blood Transfusion Center (CRTS Iași). Every year, Antibiotice employees take part in this campaign, traditionally held around World Health Day.
The involvement of local residents added even more value to the campaign. Lucian Pătrașcu-Diac, a member of the local community, was pleased that the blood donation drive was organized at the Antibiotice headquarters, as it allowed him to donate close to home without the hassle of traveling a long distance to the city: “I’ve always wanted to donate blood, but the distance to the Blood Transfusion Center in Iași kept making me postpone it. I work mostly from home, and when I found out I could donate right here at Antibiotice, so close by, I knew it was the perfect time to take this step. It was my first time donating, and I’m glad I had this opportunity! I hope I can donate here again. It was simple, quick, and, most importantly, I know that my gesture can help someone in need”.
Through this campaign, Antibiotice Iași continues to actively engage in projects that contribute to the well-being of the community, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility and public health.
“We are delighted that, for this edition of the mobile blood donation drive, we managed to involve the local community as well. Expanding the campaign was a welcome step, demonstrating our focus on community needs and our solidarity with people. Activities Dedicated to World Health Day at Antibiotice Iași
The “Donate Blood! Save a Life!” campaign marked the beginning of a series of events organized by Antibiotice Iași in celebration of World Health Day, observed on April 7. On April 3-4, employees will have access to skin health testing sessions, while on April 5-6, the third edition of the “Health Cup” sports competition will take place, an internal event designed to promote a healthy lifestyle among employees.
